South Coast Growers, Inc. is now offering a replacement to your PCV jetting tool. Our patented jetting tool is constructed of heavy duty steel and is warranted against breakage for life. If you are not using a jetting tool already you should think about using one. Plants that are properly “set” into their planting hole have a greater survival rate and less after installation problems. Jetting the water into the hole after placing the tree eliminates air pockets in the holes around the root ball. If the air pockets are left in the hole the tree will suffer in many ways. First, the tree will not be as stable and is more susceptible to falling over or tilting. Second, as the new roots begin to grow they will enter the air pocket, dry out and die. This will make the tree go through unnecssary stress and limit the uptake of needed wter and nutrients causing decline and possibly leading to the death of the tree.
