South Coast Growers was lucky enough to locate one of the rarest palms in the world. This American Oil Palm is estimated to be 50 plus years old. This is the only American Oil Palm of this size in the United States that we know about. This palm is over 40 feet tall and when the head is full it spreads out to over 50 feet wide. The trunk has a unique shape with the palm leaving it's thick frond bases. This specimen has 10 feet of trunk. You truly have to see it to believe how big this palm is.
